Cortijo Las Tejas is a beautiful converted farmhouse situated in the lower part of Mojacar old town. It has been modernised to an exceptional standard and still retains many original features, including beamed vaulted ceilings and a wonderful inglenook fireplace. Double doors lead out to a summer room, which makes a perfect lounging area, complete with a sofa, table and chairs and a fridge to keep the sangria cool! There is an archway with wrought iron doors leading out onto a garden area, complete with a fountain feature.

Located next to the dining room is a modern shower room and cloakroom. An attractive tiled staircase leads up to a double bedroom with beams, a ceiling fan and beautiful carved wooden wardrobes.

To the right of the main hallway is a spacious twin bedroom with a ceiling fan. Leading off from the lounge area are two double bedrooms with beams and ceiling fans, which both have access to an en suite shower room.

A beautiful tiled staircase with an ornate wooden balustrade takes you from the main hallway up to the master suite. The master bedroom is very spacious and bright with a door leading out onto a roof terrace with a table and chairs set and views of Mojacar old town. There is also a small wrought iron balcony with views over the pool, gardens and orange groves. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC, bidet and twin sinks.

The grounds of the property are very spacious with lovely countryside views. A terrace surrounds the large kidney-shaped pool and is equipped with four loungers, parasols and tables and chairs. It’s a real suntrap and enjoys beautiful views over the countryside and orange groves. Steps lead up to a large covered terrace with a dining table and chairs and a built-in BBQ, perfect for enjoying some al fresco meals whilst taking in the views!

Beyond the pool area is a well-manicured garden with tropical planting. Steps lead down from this area to yet another terrace with a covered seating area. This hidden spot is secluded and tranquil, making it ideal for enjoying the views and basking in the sunshine.

At the front of the property there is a large paved parking area with ample room for several cars.

This property is a three to four minute drive from the golden beaches of Mojacar Playa. It is situated down a narrow winding track, which is bumpy in places. It is surrounded by typical Andalucian rural properties and looks out onto orange and lemon groves, farmland and countryside.
