Wendy Lester - Owner
We’re Wendy and Bill Lester — Mojácar locals who’ve been living and working here for what feels like forever (29 years for Wendy, 23 for Bill, but who’s counting?).
Together we’ve spent the past 22 years running rental properties across Mojácar and the surrounding areas. Wendy’s the organised one — handling admin, bookings, and keeping things on track — while Bill’s the cheerful, larger-than-life half, always ready with a joke, a toolbox, and a helping hand.
At home, life revolves around our seven rescue pets (three dogs and four cats), our grandchildren Charlie and Megan, and Bill’s never-ending “buying and selling” adventures — let’s just say the garage is full of treasures.
Wendy loves to cook, entertain, and hunt down new places to explore on our next trip — though we’re just as happy enjoying the quiet Mojácar life together.
Angela Ward — Office Manager
I swapped the UK for sunny Spain in 2006 to “give it a go” and spent several years as a full-time mum before the stars aligned in 2018. A friendly chance call with Wendy (from a past work connection) turned into a job offer, and the rest, as they say, is history! What started as a work opportunity quickly turned into a close friendship — now we are not just colleagues but best of friends who even share two beautiful grandchildren Charlie and Megan in common!
As Office Manager, I keep the wheels turning with my signature mix of organisation, a “no messing” approach with charm, and good humour. When not keeping the office in check, you’ll likely find me enjoying good food, dancing up a storm with salsa and bachata, or planning a next travel adventure.
Tara Lassey — Holiday Rentals
Hi, I’m Tara! I work in admin and rentals here at Blue Sea Villas, helping guests find their perfect home away from home – and it genuinely makes me happy to see people fall in love with Mojácar the way we did.
I moved to Spain in 2021 with my husband Guy and our daughter Scarlett. We were drawn to the slower pace, the sea air, and Spain’s beautiful focus on family life – and Mojácar just stole our hearts. It still does.
Outside of work, I’m also an artist (though finding spare time is a bit of an art in itself!). Weekends often involve watching Guy play guitar with his band while Scarlett – who’s learning drums – and I cheer him on. I sing a little too, so between the three of us, we’re basically a beachside Partridge Family in the making.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, I love helping people feel at home here – and I can’t wait to welcome you to our special “corner of the enchantment”.
Rebecca Mihaescu – Sales Manager
In 2001, I packed up lock, stock and barrel and swapped the hustle and bustle of Manchester for the sunshine, sea, and relaxed pace of Mojácar — and I’ve never looked back! My Auntie and Uncle first discovered this little gem in the ‘90s, and after one unforgettable family Christmas here, I was hooked. Mojácar has a magic all its own… once it catches your heart, it never lets´ go.
With over 20 years’ experience in real estate, I love helping people find their dream homes in the sun. Fluent in Spanish, native in English, and with a dash of French, I pride myself on personal service and going the extra mile for every client. I joined the Blue Sea Villas Dream Team as Sales Manager in November 2023, and I adore the mix of hard work, office banter, and finishing the week with our famous Fizz Friday!
When I’m not helping clients, you’ll often find me out and about with my husband and our dog in the campervan, exploring the stunning Cabo de Gata National Park, or travelling further afield on cruises — my absolute favourite way to recharge and find new adventures.

Jade Walpole – Long Term Rentals
Hi, I’m Jade! I help people find their perfect long-term or permanent rental home here in beautiful Mojácar – whether they’re relocating, settling down, or just in need of a fresh start. I joined the Blue Sea Villas team in March 2022 on a day I’ll never forget – when the sky turned bright orange during that wild calima! Definitely a memorable way to begin.
I’ve lived in Spain since 1985 and spent 25 years working in our family business, so helping people and running things smoothly is second nature. I actually met Angela, our amazing Office Manager, in a previous job – and when she invited me to join this friendly, family-run team, I didn’t hesitate.
When I’m not matching clients with their dream homes, you’ll usually find me spending time with my gorgeous grandson Enzo – he keeps me smiling and on my toes!
Jacob (Jake) Lester – Holiday Rentals & Sales Assistant
I’m Jake – or Jacob if I’m in trouble – and I’ve quite literally grown up with this business. While my parents were building it from the ground up, I was running around in the background (and sometimes causing chaos). These days, I’m more hands-on – helping guests book their holiday rentals, welcoming them with a friendly face, and making sure their stay starts off right.
I’m also diving into the sales side of things – learning the ropes, creating 360° tours and videos of the amazing properties we sell, and soaking up everything I can.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me at the gym, I´m a bit of an artist and love painting, hanging out with my dogs, or (let’s be honest) glued to the PlayStation. I’m 18, keen to keep learning, and always up for a new challenge.
Rose Van den Broek– Receptionist and Admin
Hi, I’m Rose (or Roos, if you’re going Dutch)! Originally from Amsterdam, I made the switch to Spain in 2000 after a beachside meet-with my now-husband Paco back in 1999.
I joined the Blue Sea Villas team in 2024 as Receptionist and Angela’s right-hand woman when it comes to all things admin. No two days are ever the same here, which keeps things interesting — and keeps me on my toes with the fast pace!
Outside of work, I’m usually on the move: ferrying my two boys, Adrian and Alexander, around, walking my Galgo (that’s a Spanish Greyhound for the uninitiated), and doing my best to live a healthy, balanced life — with the occasional treat, of course!
Typically Dutch: direct but always friendly. 🙂
